Welcome to 1740 Chemin Les Contes where Bev lives in peace and harmony. Having

travelled Europe in a camper van for several years, she found her forever home in the
Gers region of SW France. Bev dreamt of establishing a friendly tourism project to
promote travel experiences, support local communities and minimise negative
environmental impacts. Consequently, she is delighted to share Les Contes with guests
searching for a little rest, relaxation and a momentary escape from the demands of a busy
world. Bev has designed an adult only homestay project around a philosophy that aims to
encourage visitors to appreciate nature while contributing to its preservation. To that end
towels and bed linen are not changed every day unless specifically requested. Laundry is
no longer sent out but washed at home and dried in the sunshine. Bed linen is no longer
ironed. Time and space is shared, stories told and connections made over a glass of wine
and a plate of good food.
“Chemin Les Contes” means the “path of tales or legends” and Bev is quite sure that
D’Artagnan galloped across the surrounding fields, anxious to return to his castle in
Lupiac. She invites you to create your own unique memories and let them unfold where
your heart feels at home. And, when you return to Les Contes , you will be welcomed back
– not as a visitor but as part of its story.
